Day Lily in my yard in Alberta |
Kids watching DVDs on the trip to BC |
Each day is another day onward and forward. We drove our three grand kids to BC and are staying for a couple weeks of much needed rest. However, with a 12 yr. old, 10 yr. old and 7 yr. old there doesn't seem to be much of that. The very best news possible is that our daughter is coming to join us tomorrow and bringing Charlie with her. Charlie is the 6 yr. old orphan son (of her boyfriend who was killed in the plane crash). We are so happy that he will continue to have a relationship with her and with us. We are looking forward to their visit and planning where we can take them. Charlie has never been to the ocean so everything will be new to him. The kids are so excited to show him around.
Yesterday the waves were crashing into shore and the kids swore they wouldn't get wet.....oh yeah! That was no fun. They had to see how close they could get to the spray. |
I will be checking the BSBP this coming Saturday and can't wait to see what all you talented wonderful artists came up with.
I will be back stronger than ever in the fall I promise. Thanks again for all the comments - please continue to do so as it helps more than you will ever know. Warm Hugs
Katherine

Enjoy your time with your family. I so remember the time I spent with my Grandparents--one was urban the other farm life. What those children will carry on in life is so important. I will be waiting to see all your awesome work this fall!
Hi Katherine,
Have a great time with your family and heal the broken hearts and treasure the new memories you will make with your family on the coast.

Enjoy your family, Katherine. You are all so fortunate to have each other. We will be here when you come back. Continuing to send warmest thoughts to you all.
I was pleased to read your post and hear that dear little Charlie will continue to be a part of your family times. What a blessing for that sweet boy to spend time making precious memories in your company! I pray the ocean waves will help wash away some of his pain and loss... and yours also, Katherine. As difficult as it is for you, putting your business on pause for just a short time may turn out to be the wisest choice right now. When the time is right, the work will be there waiting to help your healing.
Katherine,
Take this time to spend with your beautiful family♥ I think when you do come back to your beads, you will be refreshed, and full of new ideas. So happy to hear that Charlie will be coming to spend some time with all of you. I'm sure he loves being around all the kids!!! Thank you for being so kind, and for being a great partner....sending love and warm tender hugs your way for the times ahead.
I am so happy to learn that Charlie is going to be able to continuing being part of your family. He needs you & your daughter.
Thank you everyone for your kind responses. Charlie has been here for 6 days and enjoyed himself more than we could ever imagine. We can see the old Charlie once again - the one who laughs and runs and doesn't have an inside voice! He has made us realize how resilient he is and all he asks is to be accepted and loved. Unquestioning love. I think he has taught us more than we could ever teach him. It is true he needs us but I think we need him too!
