I am so ready for spring but sadly there is still six inches of snow on the ground. Color is very much missing and I am wanting to get out in my yard and start planting. When I saw racks of seeds in the store this week, I grabbed up a few. My husband loves to garden as in vegetables and after he plants enough for a small village, ends up giving away many bags of produce. I think he loves to do it just so he can give to others.
I am dreaming of the possibilities of transforming my yard into something beautiful......
This is what I picked out....I love color so flowers are my specialty. I will have to pick up many more bedding plants as well. |
Thanks for stopping by - now head over to see what everyone else focused on this week - at The Studio Sublime

Those are great photos and have me thinking of spring .. full of possibilities!
I love spring! We are in a new neighboorhood and its fun to see the flowers bloom at the most unexpected places . Michelle #8 this week
Oh how lovely - just what we all need- fruits/veggies and of course, flowers. What cool shots, too!!
Wow! I am waiting eagerly to see what these become when you plant them!
There's nothing more happy than fresh flowers...unless one is growing them! Lucky you!
Last year WAS my last year to attempt a vegetable garden. Just when everything is just about to bloom into beautiful produce after careful feeding, weeding, and tilling, the deer always find a way in first! Best of luck with your gardening!
Your photo of the vegetable garden seeds reminded me of my husband. His passion was planting a garden each year and would be mulling over seed catalogs right now if he was alive. Thanks for the memories.
Beautiful picture! I am in Florida so I am already doing a bit of planting...have my tomatoes getting started in their little containers to get ready to go into the ground. Great post!
I love the promise of a seed pack picture!! Your pics are beautiful. Endless hope and plans. I have had successes and failures in the garden but will try again this year. Love to eat home grown veggies. Have lots of fun with your flowers.
i was wondering if someone would post a seed picture this week... and you've posted two great pics literally FULL of possibilities :)
I think we are all waiting anxiously for spring! Great way to show it!
Hi Katherine,
A good producing garden is always a good thing and an oppertunity to share what you reap. I love flowers in all the beautiful colors Mother Nature comes up with.
Ah yes the possibilities are endless in your Spring and Summer yard and garden.

Hi Katherine -- What beautiful packaging. It makes me desperate for a green thumb, which I seriously lack. When I saw the smaller pic of your post, at first I thought it was bags of candy. LOL - you can tell where my mind is. Can't wait to see how your garden progresses!
Great thinking! I've never tried to grow anything edible. Our soil is not the best, and the drainage is just screwy so I don't expect much. But it would be fun to grow so much to share - makes it taste all the better when it's a gift grown from a friend
I can imagine those in cold country must really pine for their garden. Love the idea of the seed packets and their possibilities. Enjoy your garden and may you have lots to show for it.
Katherine, everything I touch dies...but I can still understand the urge you speak of! Much luck with your garden!
I'm so ready for spring. Friday it was 80 degrees out and today it is cold, dreary and spitting snow....
I love looking at all the colorful seed packets but since I have a brown thumb I mainly stick to potted plants.
I'm loving seeing all of those wonderful annual & vegetable seeds that you will be able to plant soon!
Seeds & Gardens in general have endless possibilities ....& I think that after a time in the sub tropics I may well miss planting those annuals!!
For now I am still trying to get my head around the fact that "winter", here, is the right growing season for tomatoes!
Great interpretation of the prompt :)
We're going to need to see the 'after' pictures- what fun!
I so enjoy thinking of all the possibilities when it comes to planting flowers!
Planting and growing a garden is endless possibilities! great post!
I can't wait for Spring either, our tulips are starting to bloom here in VA. Can't wait to plant more!
I too am longing for spring. I also looked at the seed packets this week but I resisted the urge to buy this early or I may forget where I put them when spring does arrive. Yes plant seeds do have endless possibilities.
Yes, the seeds in those packages will bring many wonderful possibilities in the future. Great post.
My husband started his seedlings yesterday.
He grows, I process.
Lovely! What a fabulous burst of color and a whole load of possibility for sure!
I really need to look at my yard and imagine the possibilities. Right now it is a mess.
I love looking at seed packets almost as much as I love looking at beads. :) I always concentrated on growing vegetables in the past, but in the last two years, I started having fun with flowers, too. Good luck with your garden!
