For this week's Focus on Life prompt, 'Observe the curves' we are reminded - Branches of trees curve to embrace the breeze. Letters curve and form words. Curves can keep things apart, hold things together or create a path. This was another example of wanting to find something different to photograph but ending up with the most obvious choice of all.

The curve in the road - where does this path lead? |
To warmth and welcome, comfort and shelter, grandkids, food, family and friends, love and laughter, hugs and kisses. The curve in this road leads HOME. The place where I am inspired to make art and bead work. I couldn't think of a better curve to photograph!

Nature's curves are always amazing - I love the quite hope in all your pictures: yes, the snow might cover the road, but there is hope in there, the road is the path to somewhere, maybe warm and friendly :) Lovely curve to drive you home!
some of the best curves are in nature as Alicia notes! beautiful pictures
Ah...the curves of the road and the trees amd nature wonderful,
I'm a great fun of the curves in the road. You found some great curves in the natural world.
The best curves are the ones that lead home. I really like that photo .. a great path carved into the snow. :)
Katherine, I still think Dorothy said it best: there's no place like Home! When our hearts and spirits are strained, that last curve in the road before we glimpse the lights of home are such welcome relief. Beautiful reflections!
Beautiful. I love the bits of roads that lead home that you could almost do with your eyes closed.... I used to bus home from university and the turn before my stop was the only left of the whole route. That curve meant I could grab a quick nap and wake up just in time to ring the bell to get off :)
What a heartwarming post.
What a great post! I love the tree photo and how the curves in the branches seem to be the same.
I feel like I'm there with you, on that wonderful curved path leading home. Your walks are beautiful!
The road looks very snowy! I keep hearinga bout all the storms/snow that Alberta is getting.. I actually put on flip flops Thursday to pick my way through the slush to the mail box because it was +9... lovely pictures but I'm looking forward to green grass and flowers!
This really resonated with me, as I am looking for my home, and anxiously awaiting the time when I am familiar with all the curves of it...beautiful!
As has been noted already, nature does provide some of the best curves. Hope spring comes your way soon.
The road home seems like the best curve ever.
Hard to believe so much snow this late! Love your take with the road home. :)
Great curves! I love your road shot - the joy is beautiful!
That's a nice curve home. I really like the grasses too.
I love it when we recognize the beauty in nature...it is lost on so many...beautiful pics!
A curve in the road leading home. The best curve there is.
Hi Katherine,
Yes the curve that leads to home is always the best curve to encounter. It looks like it was a beautiful day when you took these pictures! I thought about taking a picture of the tree tops in my yard too.
Therese
Love your pics, especially the driveway! Have a good week.
What a lovely path to take to get home. One can almost feel the warmth waiting at the end.
